Admissions Procedure

Enrollment Procedures and Requirements

Our classes start 8 times per year, so it is never too late to enroll. If you are interested in one of our career training programs, call the Gwinnett College or Gwinnett Institute campus of your choice or complete and submit the Now is the Time box above. An admissions representative from the Gwinnett College or Gwinnett Institute campus will contact you and provide preliminary information and arrange for you to visit the Gwinnett College or Gwinnett Institute campus.

Admissions requirements are listed in the catalog and could vary by campus. Generally the process includes an interview and campus tour. Career college students interested in one of our degree or nursing programs, must pass an entrance test to ensure they have the ability to pursue their desired programs of study. Applicants will also be required to provide proof of graduation from high school or completion of a GED prior to beginning school. Once the interview and required documentation to support all admissions requirements have been met, you will be ready to get started toward earning your associate degree or diploma!

Foreign Credentials

When individuals educated at foreign institutions apply for admission, they must submit documentation that their previous education is equivalent to that of a United States high school diploma. The applicant must provide an English translation of the high school equivalent and an evaluation of the documentation by a qualified evaluator. An in-person or telephone (E-mail, if outside the United States) interview will be conducted with each applicant as part of the admissions process. Gwinnett can assist with this process. Gwinnett works with FCE, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia for translation and evaluation services.

Gwinnett no longer participates in the Department of Homeland Security’s Student Visa program.
